Halyna Hutchins, Cinematographer, Killed on 'Rust' Movie Set
Halyna Hutchins, the cinematographer who was killed when actor Alec Baldwin fired a prop gun on a film set in New Mexico, has been identified as a 42-year-old Ukrainian woman.
Hutchins was the director of photography for Baldwin's latest movie, "Rust," a Western which was being filmed at the Bonanza Creek Ranch in Bonanza City, New Mexico.
On Thursday, Baldwin discharged a prop firearm during a film shoot, fatally shooting Hutchins and injuring the film's director, Joel Souza. The incident is being investigated by the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office.
