Ewan McGregor has teased a potential return to the Star Wars universe, reprising his iconic role as Obi-Wan Kenobi.

The Scottish actor played the wise Jedi Master in the prequel trilogy and has been vocal about his desire to return to the role. In a recent interview on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, McGregor said he would be "very happy" to play Obi-Wan again.

"I've always said if they asked me, I would do it in a heartbeat," McGregor said. "But I don't think they're going to. I think they're going to go with younger actors now, which is totally understandable."

There have been rumours that Obi-Wan could make a return in the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series on Disney+. However, Lucasfilm has not yet confirmed this. McGregor said he would be "very excited" to read the scripts for the series if he was approached to play Obi-Wan again.

"I think it would be really interesting to explore what happened to Obi-Wan between the end of Revenge of the Sith and the beginning of A New Hope," McGregor said. "I think there's a lot of rich material there to be mined."

Fans of the Star Wars franchise would undoubtedly be thrilled to see McGregor reprise his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi. The character is one of the most beloved in the series, and McGregor has been praised for his nuanced performance.
